New Delhi, 26th December 2017: Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a subsidiary of GMR Group, today announced that it has won the prestigious ‘Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Ethics’ for the year 2017.
Introduced by the Institute of Directors (IOD), the Golden Peacock Awards are now regarded as a benchmark of Corporate Excellence, worldwide. The awards honour the organisations that promote good Governance, Transparency, accountability for Brand Building and Leadership among employees and other stakeholders. DIAL was chosen for this award by a distinguished Jury under the Chairmanship of Justice (Dr) Arijit Pasayat, former Judge, Supreme Court of India.
Commenting on the receipt of the award, Mr I Prabhakara Rao, CEO, DIAL said, “GMR Group is a leader in the adoption and implementation of Ethical Management practices. The Golden Peacock Award Trophy and Commendation Certificate was received by Mr R.R. Girishkumar, Group Head, Ethics & Intelligence , GMR Group and Mr Anirudh Roy, Head Ethics & Intelligence, DIAL from H.E. Jawed Ashraf, High Commissioner of India to Singapore on the side-lines of “2nd Global Convention on Corporate Ethics and Risk Management” held in Singapore recently.
Earlier in 2016, DIAL got the ‘Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the transportation sector under the Aviation category. The previous year, Delhi International Airport Limited bagged ‘Golden Peacock National Quality Award’ for its concerted efforts in building a culture of Total Quality across Indira Gandhi International Airport.
